What is Operation Overmatch?
OPERATION OVERMATCH WAS AN ONLINE, MULTIPLAYER GAME THAT AIMED TO ENHANCE COMBAT EFFECTIVENESS AND INFORM THE FUTURE FORCE BY COLLECTING VALUABLE SOLDIER FEEDBACK AND ANALYZING HUMAN BEHAVIOR DATA.
DESPITE ITS AMBITIOUS MISSION, THE GAME HAS SINCE BEEN DISCONTINUED.

The Project
Operation Overmatch was being developed by the United States Army in collaboration with the Institute for Creative Technologies at the University of Southern California.
Through Operation Overmatch, soldiers were able to refine their combat skills, test new tactics and techniques, and provide feedback to inform the development of new military technologies.
While the game is no longer available, the lessons learned from this innovative platform will continue to inform military training and development efforts.
